Buhay means "alive" and "life"

Buhay Collective didn't start as a clothing brand. It started as a donation drive, providing scrubs to underprivileged healthcare facilities and the healthcare workers who needed them most. What began as a way to give back quickly turned into something bigger: we saw how much of a difference the right scrub wear made for the people caring for others every day, and we wanted to build something lasting around that.

That's how Buhay Collective became a scrub wear brand, designed for healthcare workers and everyday heroes who show up for their communities every single day. Our scrubs are built to be sustainable, comfortable, and simple.

Our story grew again when we started bringing our scrubs and our story into the community and building connections along the way. Those connections became the seed for something bigger: a full Filipino leisure wear line, rooted in the same colors, patterns, and pride that define our culture. Today, every piece we make, from scrub wear to streetwear, celebrates the Philippines, honoring our history, our people, and our language in every design.

From a donation drive, to scrub wear, to leisure wear, Buhay Collective has always been about the same thing: helping our community feel the most Buhay, alive, proud, and connected to home, no matter what they're wearing or where the day takes them.

"As a healthcare professional with over 10 years of experience wearing scrubs daily, I knew firsthand the importance of comfort and function on the job. While sewing masks, I started thinking about how scrubs could be improved."

"What began as a simple idea to donate scrubs to under-resourced healthcare facilities grew into a brand built around purpose and community."
